Come support the Southern Alberta Brain Injury Society's Walk & Roll. Participants taking part in the event, happening on Saturday, June 24, 2017, can walk, jog, bike or blade their way through Bowness Park.
SABIS provides support, coordination of services and education to survivors of acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families living in the Calgary region. ABI affects over 10,000 Albertans annually and is the number one cause of disability for those between 18 and 40 years of age. The most common causes of acquired brain injury are: stroke, motor vehicle collisions and falls. All proceeds from this event will go directly towards SABIS programs and services.
A BBQ will be held at 12pm and prizes will be awarded during the closing remarks between 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Registered participants are required collect a minimum of $75 in pledges. For those not collecting pledges, wristbands for the BBQ lunch will be available for $10. This event goes rain or shine. Please dress for the weather.
